Fox & home
The ‘Fox’ name has been synonymous with estate agency since 1868; when Anthony Stoddart Fox opened a branch of Fox and Sons in Bournemouth. Over the next century Fox and Sons expanded over the whole of the south of England and in the mid 1980s came to the Isle of Wight.
Fox and Sons were an immediate success on the Island and soon became a name that both buyers and sellers could trust. In 2001 Simon Wratten and Sarah Wratten; who were both senior Fox and Sons managers on the Isle of Wight, brought the island offices and created a new independent estate agency, which they called Fox Property.
In 2011, Fox Property became Fox Estate Agents and then in 2018 following a merger with another successful local firm, home estate agency, Fox & home was born.
In 2021 Fox & home centralised the business into one hub on Ryde High Street to cover the whole of the Island. Four of the directors; Rachael Harvey, Hugh Stephens, Sarah Wratten and Simon Wratten continue to work on the front line of the business, whilst a fifth director, Brett Gillingham, remains a consultant. The five directors offer a wealth of experience, spanning many years, whilst pulling the strings and keeping everything together in the office is another very experienced estate agent Gemma Cole.
