Fox & home
Fox & home came about as a result of a merger between two of the Isle of Wight’s most successful estate agencies – Fox Estate Agents and home estate agency.
The Fox name has been associated with estate agency since 1868, when Anthony Stoddart Fox opened Fox & Sons in Bournemouth. Over the next century Fox & Sons expanded over the whole of the South of England, and in 1987 the Fox brand arrived on the Isle of Wight, with branches on the high streets’ of Cowes, East Cowes, Newport, Ryde, Shanklin, Wootton Bridge and Freshwater.
In 2001 the Isle of Wight offices of Fox & Sons were bought by two of the local management team – Simon and Sarah Wratten – who renamed the company Fox Property, which later changed to Fox Estate Agents.
In 2007 three more directors joined the board – Rachael Harvey, Hugh Stephens and Brett Gillingham. These three directors already had their own very successful Ryde based company – home estate agency. A plan was drawn up to eventually combine home with Fox and on June 1st 2018, the plan finally came to fruition.
The ethos of Fox & home is to provide a professional and personal service that leaves customers feeling satisfied. The many testimonials received is proof that this ethos is being achieved.
